Subject: I was asked to contact you
Ellen,
Randal Massaro asked me to contact you on his behalf. I don't know what was said or has gone on before, but I wanted to tell you about this good man.

Randal is a kind man, who asks for very little for himself.  He is very passionate about helping others, especially those who can't do it for themselves.  If he sees a need, he steps up to the plate and does what he can just because he is able.

Saving the wild horses and burros are very important to him and many others, including  myself.  For me at least they represent the spirit of this country more than any flag.  They are strong, independent, and adaptable.  They take life as it comes and find ways around the obstacles that are place in their path.  For me, they represent life's possibilities.

The wild horses and burros are under attack by corporate greed and ignorance.  You don't have to look very hard to find heart breaking videos or the organizations who are trying to save them.  With all of life's challenges, their message is frequently lost in the shuffle, which is why their numbers are rapidly dwindling.

Ellen, I know that those videos don't have a place on your show.  The Ellen DeGeneres Show isn't really the right venue for the topic. However, the scuttlebutt is will be a new Billy Jack movie.  You could invite Delores Taylor and Tom Laughlin on to talk about the new film and their careers.  The opening scene of Billy Jack with the wild horses is legendary.  It would be very easy to build a bridge from the past to the present.  All you would have to do  mention that the organizations and groups, who are trying to help save the wild horses and burros.  Those who are interested will be able to find them on their own.

You also have friends and friends of friends, who have venues that are more appropriate for this topic.  Would you please contact them on Randal's behalf.  His phone number is 760-245--3635.

Thanks Ellen.
